I've been blessed with many adventures since JDHS... far too many to mention and/or bore anyone with here. My websites have plenty of info if anyone's interested. I am pretty much the same knuckle-head I was in school, though a bit less shy these days. I've more/less hung up my old skateboards for my snowboards and surf boards. I've surfed in six countries around the globe. I mostly work as a musician and humanitarian these days.
After high school I attended Northern Arizona University where I graduated Summa Cumma Laude with a B.S. in Forestry. Since then my work has been diverse to say the least: research forester, back-country forest ranger, forest firefighter on a "Hotshot" crew, LA city firefighter, "bouncer” in a couple rough honky-tonks, cowboy and ranch hand, international model, actor, singer-songwriter, and internationally touring Bluesman. My music has been considered for a couple of Grammy Awards and been featured in the soundtracks of movies and TV. (see www.garyallegretto.com)
The accomplishment I am most proud of is Harmonikids.org, my 501(c)3 organization that gives music therapy to special needs kids worldwide. I have taken harmonicas and lessons to tens of thousands of children - from the Sumatran refugee camps following the Tsunami disaster, to a FEMA trailer village in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina, to child slavery victims in Haiti after te earthquake disaster and many points in between. It's the joy of my life. (see www.harmonikids.org)
